Enlisted men's mental health evaluation by self-rating anxiety scale

Abstract
|
|
|
We measured the anxiety scale of enlisted men by making use of self-rating anxiety scale(SAS) which originated with Zung, and the result is as follows.
@ES 1. The average total marks of anxiety scale
@EN 1) Private has highest average total marks of anxiety, scale, sergeant corporal in order and private first class has the lowest average total marks of anxiety scale.
2) Military personnel under six months of service has the highest average total marks of anxiety scale, military personnel under 18 months of has the lowes and military personnel between 19 months and 2 year has high average total marks of
anxiety
scale again. This has statistical significance.
3) On the connection of age and rank, private at age 23 has the highest average total marks of anxiety scale between age 20 and age 23. It has statistical significance.
4) Undergraduate and graduate has higher average total of anxiety scale than graduate from high school. But this has no statistical significance.
5) In case of divorce, limited divorce, a widower, a widow, they has higher average total of anxiety scale than normal family, But it has no statistical significance.
6) It is the highest in Roman Catholic and the lowest in Protestant. But is has no statistical significance.
7) On the average total of anxiety scale according to the order of birth, the eldest son has the highest and lower in the only son. But it has no statistical significance.
@ES 2. The group of high marks/The group of low marks
@EN 1) The group more than 50 marks has six persons and it comes under 2% of whole 297 persons.
2) Private sergeant have more percentage in the group of high average total marks of anxiety scale. But private first class has more percentage in the group of low average total marks of anxiety scale.
3) Military personnel under six months of service and military personnel between 10 months and 24 months have more percentage in the group of high average total marks of anxiety scale. Military personnel between 7 months and 1 year and military
personnel between 1 year and 18 months have more percentage in the group of low average total marks of anxiety scale.
4) The graduate has more percentage in the group of high average total marks of anxiety scale. But the graduate from high school has more percentage in the group of low average total marks of anxiety scale.
5) Roman Catholic and Buddhist have more percentage in the group of high average total marks of anxiety scale. But Protestants has more percentage in the group of high average total marks of anxiety scale. But Protestants has more percentage in
the
group of low average total marks of anxiety scale.
6) The person from normal normal family has more percentage in the group of low average total marks of anxiety scale. But the person from abnormal family has more percentage in the group of high average total marks of anxiety scale.
7) The eldest son, the middle and the youngest of the family has similar percentage in the group of low average total marks of anxiety scale and the group of high average total marks of anxiety scale.
